As the annual Mooncake Festival approaches, JIA restaurant at Shangri-La Jakarta presents an alluring selection of mooncakes.

Available from the 8th of July to the 17th of September 2024, JIA features traditional baked mooncakes, Mini Snow Skin Mooncakes, and a special Kid Baked Mooncake, continuing the blend of novelty and Chinese heritage from previous years. The full moon of mid-autumn is the brightest of the year, symbolising family reunions, especially for those far from home. This festival unites families, near or far, as people enjoy mooncakes under the same full moon. With their array of mooncakes, JIA hopes to reunite families with a mélange of classic and novel flavours to savour.

Guests seeking authenticity can enjoy low-sugar versions of traditional White Lotus Paste, White Lotus with Single or Double Yolk, Red Bean Paste, and Black Sesame Paste with Single Yolk. For a modern twist, guests can relish the Bamboo Charcoal Pandan, the new Matcha and Kumquat in Lotus Seed Paste, and Red Lotus Paste with Dried Tangerine Peel and Single Yolk mooncakes. Since their introduction, Mini Snow Skin mooncakes have gained popularity and JIA continues to offer refreshing new snow skin varieties. This year’s Snow Skin mooncakes return with equally enticing flavours, featuring Egg Custard with Musang King Durian and Hazelnut Chocolate. The addition of the Mini Kid Chocolate Lotus Paste mooncake ensures that JIA’s mooncake collection delights the entire family.

JIA has meticulously designed refined packaging for these creations. Traditional baked mooncakes are encased in a circular drawer box, symbolising unity and perfection, with floral motifs on the top and four drawers each holding one baked mooncake. Guests can choose between red, representing warmth and joy, or gold, symbolising wealth and success. The exquisite Mini Snow Skin mooncakes are presented in a charming tin package. The Mini Kid Chocolate Lotus Paste mooncake comes in a special box adorned with colourful patterns. JIA aims to create memorable moments, and these thoughtfully tailored boxes enhance the guest experience.

JIA’s baked mooncakes are beautifully presented in sets of four, with prices starting from Rp798,000 net, while Mini Snow Skin mooncakes are elegantly arranged in sets of eight, with prices starting from Rp798,000 net. The Mini Kid Chocolate Lotus Paste mooncake is available at Rp198,000 net.

Savour the essence of these mooncakes in anticipation of the enchanting mid-autumn season, starting from the 8th of July 2024. Guests are invited to explore JIA’s bespoke booth at the Shangri-La Jakarta lobby from the 22nd of July to the Mooncake Festival on the 17th of September 2024. Guests can enjoy a 25% discount for orders from the 8th of July to the 21st of July 2024, exclusively on the Shangri-La e-Boutique.
