More Areas Added to PPKM Level 1

PPKM was extended yesterday until 1st November.

The list of regions and the level of PPKM they are operating under has been confirmed in the instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs.

The PPKM extension is regulated in the letter under numbers 53 and 54 of 2021 concerning the enforcement of restrictions on community activities at levels 3, 2, and 1 of COVID-19.

The instruction is to complete the implementation of PPKM which optimises the COVID-19 handling command post at the village and sub-district levels in the context of controlling the spread of COVID-19.

PPKM level 1

The following areas are now operating under PPKM level 1:

  1. West Java: Pangandaran Regency and Banjar City
  2. Central Java: Tegal City and Semarang City
  3. East Java: Surabaya City, Mojokerto City, Kediri City, Blitar City and Pasuruan City
  4. North Sumatra: Sibolga City
  5. West Sumatra: Padang Panjang City
  6. Bengkulu: Central Bengkulu Regency
  7. Lampung: Metro City
  8. Riau Islands: Bintan Regency, Karimun Regency, Natuna Regency, Anambas Islands Regency, and Batam City.
  9. NTB: West Lombok Regency and West Sumbawa Regency
  10. East Kalimantan: Mahakam Ulu Regency.
  11. North Sulawesi: Southeast Minahasa Regency and Talaud Islands Regency.
  12. Gorontalo: Bone Bolango Regency and North Gorontalo Regency.
  13. North Maluku: Central Halmahera Regency and Ternate City.
PPKM Level 2

The areas now under PPKM level 2 are:

  1. DKI Jakarta: Thousand Islands, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta and Central Jakarta.
  2. Banten: Tangerang City, South Tangerang City
  3. West Java: Sukabumi City, Cirebon City, Bogor City, Bekasi City, Bandung City, Depok City, Cimahi City, Karawang Regency, Bekasi Regency, West Bandung Regency, Sumedang Regency,
  4. Central Java: Wonogiri Regency, Sukoharjo Regency, Sragen Regency, Surakarta City, Salatiga City, Magelang City, Klaten Regency, Kendal Regency, Karanganyar Regency, Banyumas Regency, Semarang Regency, Boyolali Regency and Demak Regency.
  5. DI Yogyakarta: Sleman Regency, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta City, Kulonprogo Regency, and Gunungkidul Regency.
  6. East Java: Sidoarjo Regency, Madiun Regency, Malang City, Madiun City, Batu City, Jombang Regency, Banyuwangi Regency, Lamongan Regency and Gresik Regency.

  3.
