Padma Hotels is proud to introduce Padma GIVE, a new initiative representing its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“Padma GIVE” stands for Grant, Inspire, Volunteer, and Empower – reflecting the mission to create a meaningful, positive impact on society.
“Contributing to the community and environment should be a natural part of our role, both as a company and as individuals. Therefore, we don’t view it as a mere obligation,” said Ristiana Manao, Padma Hotels’ Corporate Director of Human Resources. Through Padma GIVE, the company is committed to enhancing its CSR efforts and making a lasting difference in the communities it serves.
Grant
Padma Hotels aims for its events and activities to be more than just about profit; the focus is also on giving back. Through initiatives like the annual Padma Run events in Bandung and Semarang, funds are raised for charitable causes. Previous efforts have concentrated on improving local primary schools, while the most recent Padma Run Semarang supports environmental initiatives in partnership with the Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation (BLDF), resulting in the planting of 540 trees across various areas of Semarang. Other properties also run regular initiatives, such as collecting English books for schools in need and recycling plastic bottles, with proceeds donated to support those in need.
Inspire
Padma Hotels believes in inspiring the younger generation. By regularly visiting schools, the company teaches practical skills such as English and raises awareness on important issues like plastic waste. Internship and management training programmes also provide vocational and university students with hands-on experience in the professional world.
Volunteer
At Padma Hotels, giving back is not solely about financial contributions. Time is dedicated to meaningful efforts such as beach clean-ups, blood donation drives, and mangrove planting, making a tangible difference in local communities.
Empower
Supporting local communities is one of Padma Hotels’ core commitments. The company empowers local businesses by sourcing products locally and through initiatives like the UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) partnerships, which involve creating hotel amenities and setting up stalls at events like Pesta Rakyat Padma. Local culture is brought to life through traditional musicians and dancers, as well as offering hands-on experiences with local artisans, such as silver-making and traditional painting workshops. Additionally, local talents are showcased on the company’s social media channels, celebrating and uplifting the communities in every possible way.
Through Padma GIVE, Padma Hotels is embarking on a journey of compassion and empowerment, proving that even small efforts can lead to significant change. To learn more about Padma GIVE, stay updated on the latest programmes, and find out how to get involved, visit www.padmahotels.com/padma-journals.
