The national police’s special anti-terrorist detachment, Densus 88, has arrested a suspected terrorist in Bogor, West Java.

The 50-year-old, who was identified as E, or Mr Jenggot, was arrested at Raya Bogor Street in Nanggewer village, Cibinong.

“It is true that Densus is still thoroughly investigating the case in the field,” said Indonesian Police Brigadier General, Dedi Prasetyo.

Last week, Densus 88 arrested two suspected terrorists in Central and East Java. Yesterday, another suspect, identified as THB, was also arrested in Pemalang, Central Java. Police are still investigating links between the two of them.

Bogor Police Chief Andi M. Dicky said that raw materials and home-made explosives were found in E’s house. Bomb-making manuals, along with jihadi doctrine books were also found, as well as with sharp weapons.
