French School Jakarta Celebrates Its Inauguration, Marking a New Era in Intercultural Education.

On a momentous day for education in Jakarta, the school community gathered to celebrate the official inauguration of French School Jakarta, marking its transition from the former Life Intercultural School Jakarta. This significant event not only symbolised a name change but also represented a renewed commitment to fostering intercultural values and educational excellence.

The inauguration was attended by key figures in education and diplomacy, including French Ambassador Mr Fabien Penone, the Director General of Primary and Secondary Schools Mr Iwan Syahril, and the school’s Principal, Mr Vincent Bonnefille. Their presence underscored the importance of this rebranding, which reflects a closer alignment with the French education system while maintaining its intercultural ethos.

The atmosphere was vibrant, with students taking centre stage to enliven the event. A delightful chorus performance and an energetic dance by the students highlighted the school’s emphasis on nurturing creativity and cultural expression. These performances reflected the diverse and inclusive environment that French School Jakarta aims to cultivate.

In his speech, Mr. Vincent Bonnefille expressed his enthusiasm for the future of the school, stating that this inauguration marks “a new beginning for French School Jakarta.” He shared his vision of the school continuing to grow as a beacon of education, emphasising the values of respect, diversity, and academic excellence. “This new start will allow us to further instil these values in our students and ensure that parents feel confident in the well-rounded education their children are receiving,” Mr. Vincent remarked.

French School Jakarta remains committed to providing a high-quality, holistic education that integrates the French curriculum with intercultural learning, preparing students to become global citizens. The renaming and rebranding signify the school’s dedication to strengthening its identity while continuing to foster an environment where students from all backgrounds can thrive.

As the ceremony concluded, the sense of excitement for the future was palpable, with students, staff, and guests alike looking forward to the next chapter in the school’s journey.
