Amien Rais: Angels are Praying for Jokowi’s Loss

Head Advisor to Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno’s campaign team, Amien Rais, has accused Jokowi’s campaign team of money politics, by distributing the ‘sembako’ or nine basic commodities, across Indonesia. The 74-year-old politician also cited the move as one of the main factors that could cause Jokowi’s loss in the upcoming presidential election.

“The crazier they get, the larger their chances of losing the election. God willing, our efforts will be fruitful,” Amien said. Amien, who also ran for the presidency in 2004, also said that Prabowo’s campaign runs on a limited budget, especially when it comes to media attention and global support. He claims that the outcome of the 2019 election will not be determined by campaign funds, but by God’s will.

“Angels come down to earth each morning to report to God about our current President’s recklessness. Once the angels pray ‘Please God, defeat Jokowi’ it will most likely be granted,” added the advisory board chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN).
