Jakarta Administration to Spend Rp95.6 trillion on APBD in 2020

The Jakarta city administration has proposed nine programmes under the 2020 budget policies and provisional budget ceiling amounting to Rp95.6trillion.

The budget has reportedly grown by about Rp6.9trillion from Jakarta’s regional budget (APBD), which was Rp89trillion last year.

Sri Mahendra Satria, head of the regional planning and development agency, announced at a regional budget meeting that the money will be used for building schools, rehabilitation centres, health insurance, green spaces, and for increasing welfare of teachers in the capital.

He further added that the money will also fund the construction of multiple sidewalks and to make improvements to Jakarta’s MRT.
