TransNusa continues to expand its international flight network by launching a direct route connecting Denpasar, Bali, and Phuket, Thailand, with services scheduled to commence on the 9th of September, 2026.

The launch of the Bali–Phuket route forms part of TransNusa’s strategy to strengthen connectivity between two of Southeast Asia’s leading tourist destinations, supporting the growth of tourism, trade, and economic relations between Indonesia and Thailand.

Furthermore, the new route is expected to attract a wide range of passengers, including tourists, families, business travellers, digital nomads, and adventure enthusiasts.

TransNusa Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Bernard Francis, said the launch of the Bali–Phuket route is a strategic step in expanding the airline’s international network.

With the launch of this new route, TransNusa now operates four scheduled international flights from Bali: to Perth, Singapore, Guangzhou, and now Phuket,” Francis said on Wednesday, the 15th of July.

Francis also believes the growing demand for travel within Southeast Asia presents an ideal opportunity to introduce new connectivity for TransNusa. According to him, travellers are increasingly seeking cross-border holiday experiences that combine unique cultural, culinary, and natural attractions within the region.

“In addition to supporting the tourism sector, this new service is also expected to strengthen economic relations between Indonesia and Thailand by increasing business travel and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries,” he added.

For the Bali–Phuket route, TransNusa will operate a 174-seat Airbus A320. Flight 8B 541 is scheduled to depart from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, at 8.50 AM Central Indonesian Time and arrive at Phuket International Airport at 11.50 AM local time. Meanwhile, the return flight, 8B 542, will depart Phuket at 1.50 PM local time and arrive in Bali at 6.50 PM Central Indonesian Time, with a flight time of approximately four hours.

TransNusa has also been selling tickets since the 3rd of July, 2026, through the airline’s official website and various online travel agents. Flights will operate four times a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday—with fares starting from Rp2,999,000.
