Roads

Jakarta traffic authorities will briefly close off 10-kilometers of roads from the Senayan traffic circle in South Jakarta up to the Olimo bus stop in Mangga Besar, West Jakarta, on Aug 25-26, for an Asian Games marathon.

“[The route] will be closed from 3 a.m. until 10 a.m. each day,” Jakarta Transportation Agency deputy head Sigit Wijatmoko confirmed with The Jakarta Post on Friday.

The closed roads are specifically: Jl. Sudirman, Jl. MH Thamrin, Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat, Jl. Majapahit, Jl. Gajah Mada until the intersection of Jl. Manga Besar (near Olimo bus stop), while U-turns onto Jl. Hayam Wuruk 3 will not be allowed.

Officials will be placed along the route to redirect traffic, however the agency advises drivers to find alternative roads.
