Ubud Food Festival 2019 to be Held April 26-28

Ubud Culinary Festival

The Ubud Food Festival, a three-day culinary event in Bali, is set to make a comeback on 26-28 April this year. The annual festival will serve up “Spice up the World” as the theme. A large number of cross-cultural dishes will grace the event, yet Indonesian cuisine will be the main attraction.

This year, the event will host a total of 100 speakers, comprising chefs and food experts in gastronomy, as well as national and international business people from the culinary industry.

The free entry event will be held at Festival Hub, Taman Kuliner Ubud. Included at the event will be 70 food, beverages, craft, and cooking utensil stalls. Film screenings, programmes for kids, cooking demos, games, and music shows will also be available for free at the same venue. The paid-entry programmes will cover masterclasses and food tours.

Dishes from Aceh, Ternate, Manado, and Bali will be available throughout the event. International cuisine from Thailand and Korea will also be showcased. Founder and Director of Ubud Food Festival, Janet DeNeefe, will also host a discussion about the “Spice Up the World” theme with Wan Windi Lestari and Irmayani, founders of Aceh Culinary Festival. They will brainstorm about ideas and the promotion of local cuisines on an international scale.
