Prabowo Named as Suspect in Treason Case

Prabowo Subianto

An investigation order letter (SPDP) issued by the Jakarta Metro Police to the head of Jakarta High Prosecutor’s office has named presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto as a suspect in an alleged treason case, along with Eggi Sudjana.

Legal and Advocacy Director of Prabowo’s campaign team (BPN), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed that he has received a copy of the letter. “We are waiting for this case development before making a move,” said Dasco. However, he explained that the letter was only issued for Eggi Sudjana and was unrelated to Prabowo. Dasco also claimed that there is no single fact linking Prabowo’s team to the alleged treason case. “As we all know, Prabowo is always fighting within the legal and constitutional corridor,” he asserted.

Earlier, Eggi Sudjana was reported for his provocative speech in front of Prabowo’s supporters back on 17th April, which advocated for people power.
