In celebration of the holy month of Ramadhan, InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar proudly presents Rona Ramadhan – A Six-Hands Iftar Experience.

This elevated culinary journey brings together three of Indonesia’s most respected culinary figures: Chef Theo Setyo Widhyarto, Chef Degan Septoadji, and Chef Norman Ismail. Hosted at Damai Restaurant, this exclusive iftar experience is designed as a rotating six-hands collaboration, where each chef takes centre stage on selected dates, presenting curated menus that reflect their culinary philosophy while honouring Indonesia’s rich flavours and global influences. Set against the tranquil highlands of Dago Pakar, Rona Ramadhan invites guests to gather, reflect, and celebrate togetherness through exceptional cuisine.

Chef Theo Setyo Widhyarto

A modern maestro, Chef Theo Setyo Widhyarto is known for crafting bold, artistic dishes that push culinary boundaries. With a strong creative vision and contemporary flair, he delivers visually striking, flavour-packed experiences that place him at the forefront of Indonesia’s modern culinary scene.

Menu Highlights by Chef Theo:

  • Udang Rujak Lodek – Poached prawn, jicama, young mango, young papaya, pineapple, spicy tamarind dressing
  • Laksa Kerang – Black mussels, tofu, quail egg, spicy coconut broth, curry leaf
  • Bebek Bacem Sambal Brambang – Sweet soy-braised duck, shallot and chilli sambal, lemongrass, garlic, crispy flour crumble
  • Ikan Kuah Arsik – Seared barramundi, turmeric paste, andaliman, torch ginger, long bean, Bataknese shallot
  • Daging Tuturuga – Slow-roasted striploin, spicy coconut sauce, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, pandan leaf, kemangi crumble

A culinary icon in Indonesia, Chef Degan Septoadji blends tradition with innovation, showcasing the country’s rich flavours with finesse. As a chef, restaurateur, and judge, he brings creativity and passion to every plate. His refined cooking style has earned him recognition both locally and globally.

Menu Highlights by Chef Degan:

  • Selada Jeruk Bali – Pomelo, jicama, fried shallot, soft-shell crab, spiced tamarind dressing
  • Tom Kha Goong – Spiced coconut soup with prawn, lemongrass, coriander, and kaffir lime leaf
  • Salmon Lodeh – Slow-roasted salmon, assorted vegetables, galangal, candlenut, tempeh, coconut broth
  • Ayam Renyah Thailand – Thai crispy chicken, garlic, chilli, coriander, lime, roasted aromatic sticky rice powder
  • Beef Picanha Panggang Sambal Hijau – Roast beef picanha, green chilli sambal, fried shallot

Driven by authenticity, Chef Norman Ismail is a champion of Indonesia’s culinary heritage. As an educator, consultant, and author, he is dedicated to preserving and elevating traditional flavours, inspiring through food that is both meaningful and deeply flavourful.

Menu Highlights by Chef Norman:

  • Udang Pindang Bangka – Shrimp, apple, water celery, grapefruit, peanuts, Bangka pindang dressing
  • Gulai Kepiting Soka – Soft-shell crab, aromatic curry sauce, lime
  • Buntut Bakar Gongso – Grilled spiced oxtail, chilli, ginger, candlenut, pickled cucumber, fried shallots
  • Mangut Barramundi – Grilled barramundi, spiced coconut sauce, Javanese chilli oil, lychee salsa
  • Iga Bakar Saus Kluwek & Kacang – Grilled ribs, kluwek and peanut sauce, lime

In addition to the rotating chef highlights, guests can enjoy an extensive iftar spread featuring premium cheeses and charcuterie, seafood on ice, sushi, Middle Eastern mezze, Arabic and Asian selections, live carving and action stations, indulgent desserts, and traditional takjil—creating a complete and memorable Ramadhan dining experience.
