Sailendra Restaurant at JW Marriott Jakarta Relaunches its All-Day Dining Restaurant

Ramadan Kitchen Takeover by Pagi Sore

Sailendra Restaurant recently revealed its new visage, with a fresh, new, contemporary ambience. It’s ready to welcome its guests with a spectrum of new, signature buffet selections and its unchanged, warm and friendly signature service.

“Having been operating as the main dining area since JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta opened its doors in 2001, the management finally came to an agreement that Sailendra Restaurant needed rejuvenation”, said Cluster Director of Marketing, Adeza Hamzah. “The need to be on par with the many blossoming, brand new properties within the district is among the many reasons for Sailendra’s one-month revamp,” he added.

Located within the hotel’s lobby, the all-new Sailendra Restaurant adopts a contemporary, open kitchen concept with multiple, split-seating dining areas. The large and elegant restaurant boasts a comprehensive buffet selection, ranging from local to international favorites.

A plethora of signature dishes can be found, from Marriott Burger, Singaporean Laksa, Indian cuisine, to various local delicacies such as Nasi Goreng Sailendra, oxtail soup and sate rembiga. These dishes have been the most sought-after by many loyal patrons. Led by Executive Sous Chef Heri Purnama, each dish, be it on the buffet or a la carte, is prepared with top quality ingredients and served by a team of warm and friendly, yet utterly professional restaurant staff.

Named after the dynasty in Indonesia and Southeast Asia which was glorious in Central Java around the 7th century, Sailendra Restaurant seats up to 263 guests, with two brand new private dining rooms featuring catchy built-in wine cellar, where guests can look in and out through the extensive selections of elegant New World and Classic wines. In addition to the world’s finest wines, Sailendra also offers a vast beverage variety, from fun contemporary mocktails to classic cocktails.

The restaurant also boasts a dessert section that offers an array of delicious, freshly prepared homemade breads, rolls, cakes, and an ice cream counter. Diners can take their Sailendra experience home with them by purchasing Sambal of Sailendra, with the debut product ‘Sambal Koja’, an exotic chili paste with curry leaves as star ingredient.

In welcoming the holy month of Ramadan this year, for the first time ever, in the history of 5-star hotels in Jakarta, Sailendra Restaurant will partner with a high-end Padang Restaurant, Pagi Sore, in a promotion titled “Ramadan Kitchen Takeover by Pagi Sore”, presented together with Sailendra Restaurant’s signature dishes.
