With over 25 years of distinguished experience in luxury hospitality, Sumit brings a rich career journey spanning world-class hotels, resorts, and residences.
Sumit began his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where he spent over two decades in various leadership roles. He also served as a trainer at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, nurturing young talent who are today leaders in the industry. He later advanced into General Manager positions across both resort and city properties, mastering the art of balancing destination experiences with urban sophistication.
His expertise further extended into the luxury residences sector, where he led operations with The Lodha Group, shaping hospitality-driven living experiences in some of India’s most prestigious residential developments. Most recently, Sumit was the General Manager of JW Marriott Jakarta, where he led one of the city’s flagship hotels with a strong focus on innovation, service culture, and guest engagement.
