The Halal Park?will embrace the 'Experience Ramadan' theme in all of its airports.

In order to welcome the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, state airport operator Angkasa Pura 2 will establish Halal Park area within the Terminal 3 Plaza of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Director of Angkasa Pura 2, Muhammad Awaluddin, said that the Halal Park will embrace the ‘Experience Ramadan’ theme in all of its airports.

“Through the Experience Ramadan theme, we wish to offer a different experience for travellers and the airport’s visitors with the Halal Park at Soekarno-Hatta,” Awaluddin added.

Awaluddin said that the halal park will accommodate 120 tenants in a 8,000 square plot metre land. The first phase will be opened at the end of May at the Terminal 3 Plaza. There will be about 40 stalls in the park, ranging from food and beverages, retail, fashion, beauty, state-owned banks, zakat booths, and even a co-working space.

The Halal Park and halal lifestyle district are some of Angkasa Pura 2’s projects to support Indonesia as the world’s number one halal destination. The company maintains that it aims to establish the Soekarno-Hatta airport as an economic and tourism centre.
