Marriott Business Council Indonesia proudly hosted the 4th Annual Women in Leadership (WIL) Conference, powered by the Women’s Associate Resource Group, under the theme “Fearless Forward: Empowering LeadHERship.”

The two-day event took place at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa from the 11th to the 12th of December 2025, bringing together 200 participants from 70 Marriott International properties across Indonesia, including 12 female General Managers.

Now in its fourth year, the Women in Leadership Conference continues to serve as a platform to connect, educate and inspire female associates of Marriott International across Indonesia by fostering leadership, inclusion and empowerment at every level of the organisation. This year’s theme, Fearless Forward, celebrated the courage, authenticity and resilience of women leaders who continue to shape the future of hospitality.

The programme featured insightful discussions, inspiring speakers and wellness-focused activities designed to support both professional and personal growth.

Highlights of the 2025 Women in Leadership Conference included:
  • Empowerment and leadership talks by Avanti and Her World Indonesia, highlighting the importance of representation and resilience in leadership.
  • Panel discussions with female General Managers, sharing their experiences, lessons learned and strategies for leading in today’s evolving hospitality industry.
  • HR Across Three Generations discussion, exploring how generational diversity shapes leadership styles, communication and workplace culture.
  • Mental health awareness session by Dr Dharmawan A. Purnama, Sp.KJ, focusing on the importance of emotional wellbeing in leadership.
  • Leadership perspective session featuring Ramesh Jackson, Regional Vice President – Indonesia & Malaysia, who shared insights on mentorship, allyship and building inclusive leadership cultures.
  • Sharing session by Ena Ratiyo, MM, PhD (Cand), entrepreneur and business coach, on leading with authenticity and courage.
  • Inspiring talk by Evy Gozali, CEO of Sababay Winery, on purpose-driven leadership and empowering teams through empathy.
  • Wellness and confidence session by Lydia Loekito, Sales & Operations Manager at Dermalogica Indonesia, emphasising the importance of self-care as a foundation for effective leadership.
  • Male General Managers session, focusing on allyship and how male leaders can actively support and empower women in the workplace.
  • CSR activities supporting RSUP Prof. Dr I.G.N.G. Ngoerah and Yayasan Rumah Peduli, aligned with Marriott’s Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction initiative.

“This year’s theme, ‘Fearless Forward,’ reflects the courage, conviction and purpose that define today’s women leaders,” said Kemaryani Anom, Chairwoman of the Women in Leadership Conference 2025 Committee and Director of Human Resources at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort. “Fearless does not mean the absence of fear; it means choosing to act despite it. Through collaboration, shared experiences and open dialogue, we are creating an environment where women across Marriott feel empowered to grow with confidence, support one another and drive meaningful, positive change.”

I Wayan Raksa, Co-chair of Marriott Business Council Bali and General Manager of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, added, “Hosting the Women in Leadership Conference once again was a meaningful experience for all of us.
