The General Elections Commission (KPU), in its real-count for the 2019 presidential election, has managed to collect and analyse data from 418,411 out of the 813,500 polling stations (TPS) across Indonesia.
The number also includes votes from Indonesians living abroad. As of today, the KPU has managed to calculate 51.44 per cent of the total votes.
Based on the KPU’s website today, 29th April 2019, candidate number one, incumbent Joko Widodo and his running mate Ma’ruf Amin, temporary lead with 56.23% of votes. Meanwhile, candidate 2, Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno, have garnered 43.77% of votes.
According to KPU Chairman Arief Budiman, the real count is conducted based on the number of C1 forms collected by the official polling station working committees (KPPS) for the presidential election, from all over Indonesia. The KPU expects to conclude the real-count recapitulation of votes on 22nd May, 2019.
