SANUR, BALI, in South Korea, the day rarely ends when work is over.
As the sun goes down, streets come alive with groups of friends and colleagues gathering around small tables, sharing comfort food, raising glasses, and lingering in conversation late into the night.
Inspired by this familiar Korean ritual, Andaz Bali, by Hyatt introduces Pocha Bar by Fire Fox, a new dining concept that brings the vibrant spirit of Seoul’s late-night food culture to the heart of Sanur.
Located within Fire Fox at Village Square, Pocha Bar offers a relaxed setting where guests can unwind over drinks and enjoy Korean comfort food in a lively yet laid-back atmosphere. The concept draws inspiration from pojangmacha, commonly known as pocha in South Korea, referring to casual street-side eateries where people gather after work to eat, drink, and spend time together.
At the centre of the experience is Somaek (소맥), the beloved Korean combination of soju and beer that has become synonymous with after-work gatherings and nights spent with friends. The name itself comes from so (soju) and maekju (beer in Korean), creating a refreshing and easy-to-drink combination that perfectly captures the social spirit of Korean drinking culture.
Complementing the drinks is a menu of Korean comfort food and bold bites designed for sharing. Among the highlights is the Foxy Bossam Set for 2, featuring braised pork belly served with fresh oysters, radish kimchi, lettuce, and ssamjang, allowing guests to enjoy each bite wrapped in the traditional Korean way. Another standout is the Galbi Smashed Burger, a playful take on Korean flavours featuring marinated minced beef and cheddar cheese.
Whether it is an after-work drink, a casual gathering with friends, or a late-night bite for in-house guests looking for something rich and different, Pocha Bar offers a new way to experience Korean food culture in Sanur. The concept also serves as a natural complement to Hansik Korean BBQ at Andaz Bali, by Hyatt, extending the Korean dining experience beyond the grill and introducing guests to the convivial spirit of Korea’s late-night food scene.
Open daily from 5 PM to 11 PM at Fire Fox, Village Square, Andaz Bali, by Hyatt, Pocha Bar invites guests to slow down, share a glass of Somaek, and discover a taste of Seoul in the heart of Sanur.
