The runway unveiled Shanghai ’62, a mesmerising bridal collection inspired by the moody sophistication of 1960s Shanghai and the cinematic allure of In the Mood for Love.
Echoing the quiet intensity of desire, Shanghai ’62 captured the delicate tension between restraint and rebellion. Each creation reflected the magnetic charm of East meets West, where traditional silhouettes were reimagined through modern tailoring, and soft femininity was contrasted with bold architectural lines. It was a tribute to elegance with an edge, where every stitch whispered stories of longing, grace, and defiance.
From intricately hand-embroidered and hand-beaded gowns to velvet tops paired with appliquéd French lace skirts, every piece spoke of craftsmanship and artistry. Some designs revealed “silk secrets, whispered in hallways—never meant to be heard, but impossible to forget,” while others, like the full hand-beaded jacquard cheongsam, shimmered with cinematic drama and sensual restraint.
The event found its perfect setting in Tien Chao at Gran Melia Jakarta, one of Jakarta’s most sought-after venues for sangjit ceremonies and intimate celebrations.
