On the evening of Friday, 30th of August 2024, Henshin will proudly present another instalment of its Behind The Bar Series: Sydney to Jakarta, featuring Giorgio Gervasoni, Assistant Venue Manager of Maybe Sammy. Maybe Sammy was named The Best Bar in Australasia 2023 by 50 Best Bars.
Giorgio will showcase four of his signature cocktails, inspired by The Grand Maybe Sammy Hotel menu. The cocktail selection includes Sauna Room, made with Malfy Gin Originale, Ginger, Calamansi, and Peach; Check-In with Malfy Gin Originale, Rose Vermouth, Fig, and Hibiscus; 5 Star Margarita with Olmeca Altos Plata, Coffee Liqueur, Passion Fruit, and Lime; and Aroma Therapy with Jameson Black Barrel, Dry Vermouth, Sweet Bitter Liqueur, Cacao, Almond Milk, Green Tea, and Salty Pear. The cocktails are priced at Rp175,000++ each.
The award-winning Maybe Sammy is a lively cocktail bar with a unique hotel-inspired identity, offering experiences such as bubble guns, experiential service, and full team dance routines. Giorgio Gervasoni, the Assistant Venue Manager, began his hospitality career in the coffee industry in his hometown of Brescia, Italy, before moving to Melbourne, Australia. He then took on the challenge of entering the cocktail industry, starting at Sammy Jr., an Italian-inspired café and aperitivo bar and the sister venue of Maybe Sammy. After being promoted to Bar Manager, Giorgio dedicated himself full-time to Maybe Sammy, dividing his time between working on the floor and behind the bar.
