Gaia Music Festival (GMF) has officially announced its fifth edition during a press conference held at Habitate Jakarta on Tuesday, 7th of July.
The event marks the beginning of the journey towards one of Bandung’s most highly anticipated music festivals, which will take place on the 14th–15th of August 2026 at The Gaia Hotel Bandung.
Carrying the theme “Music For All”, Gaia Music Festival 2026 is designed as an inclusive celebration of music, welcoming audiences from all walks of life. More than simply presenting high-quality performances, the festival invites people of all ages, backgrounds, and musical tastes to enjoy a warm, intimate, and inspiring experience amidst the natural surroundings of Bandung.
Rony Triawan, Chairman of Gaia Music Festival, said the Music For All theme was inspired by the belief that music is a universal language capable of bringing people together regardless of their background.
“Amid the various challenges facing the industry today, we believe people still need spaces where they can enjoy entertainment and connect with one another. Through the Music For All theme, we want to demonstrate that music has the power to bring together musicians, communities, and audiences from different generations and backgrounds in a warm and meaningful shared experience,” said Triawan.
Organised by The Gaia Hotel Bandung, Gaia Music Festival has continued to evolve into much more than a music festival. Over the past four years, GMF has become a platform that brings together musicians, creative communities, families, and art enthusiasts in a celebration that embraces togetherness while showcasing artistic talent.

This year’s line-up features an impressive selection of renowned artists, including Gigi Jazz Project, RAN, Teddy Adhitya, Adikara, Littlefingers, Keubitbit, Love Is, and a special collaboration between Karimata and Tiara Effendy. Spanning genres from pop, rock, and jazz to independent music, the programme reflects the festival’s Music For All philosophy by embracing music lovers without boundaries.
Bass G Feat Song Brothers will also perform across both days at the Endless Stage, an alternative stage offering a more relaxed and interactive concert atmosphere, set against the scenic natural backdrop of The Gaia Hotel Bandung.
Several artists attending the press conference also shared their excitement about joining Gaia Music Festival 2026.
Chandra Darusman of Karimata revealed that this year’s performance will feature the collaborative format that has become the band’s signature.
“Karimata always brings a fresh perspective to every performance through collaborations with local vocalists. At Gaia Music Festival 2026, we will perform alongside Tiara Effendy and deliver our very best performance for everyone joining us to enjoy the music,” said Darusman.
Dewa Budjana explained that Gigi Jazz Project will present a unique concert concept exclusively for Gaia Music Festival 2026.
“We will perform GIGI’s songs with specially prepared jazz arrangements. We will also showcase several tracks from our latest live album, presented with a fresh interpretation to offer audiences a completely new musical experience,” said Budjana.
Echoing this sentiment, Gusti Hendy added that Gigi Jazz Project aims to introduce fresh interpretations of songs that audiences already know and love.
“Songs that have long been recognised as GIGI’s signature works will be presented with refreshing jazz arrangements. We hope this performance will offer audiences a new musical perspective while creating a memorable experience at Gaia Music Festival 2026,” said Hendy.
Jason Mountario of Love Is also expressed his excitement about joining Gaia Music Festival 2026.
“We will be performing songs from Love Is’ latest album on the second day of Gaia Music Festival. What we are looking forward to most is the opportunity to improvise on stage, as there are always unexpected moments that make every performance unique. We hope to create a memorable experience for everyone in the audience,” said Mountario.
Meanwhile, Teddy Adhitya shared his enthusiasm for performing at Gaia Music Festival 2026, particularly because of the venue’s distinctive atmosphere, which has become one of the festival’s defining attractions.
“It’s always a pleasure to perform in Bandung, especially at Gaia Music Festival, which has such a unique atmosphere. Our preparations are already well underway, and we will continue refining every aspect of our performance to ensure we deliver our very best for the audience,” said Adhitya.
Bagas Indyatmono, Founder of Jazz Gunung Indonesia, explained that the curation process for Gaia Music Festival is carefully designed to strike a balance between established artists from different generations and emerging talent.

“Presenting a festival with a single stage is certainly a unique challenge. We want to provide opportunities for emerging musicians to introduce their work while also featuring artists who have built long and distinguished careers in the music industry. We also recognise that audiences come to Gaia Music Festival expecting a high-quality musical experience, from the carefully curated line-up to the stage production, sound system, and lighting design that bring those performances to life,” said Indyatmono.
As part of the Road to Gaia Music Festival 2026 series, the organisers will also present GMF Takeover at Beebop Bar & Kitchen in Jakarta. Through this programme, Gaia Music Festival will collaborate with local jazz communities and event organisers to host a special session featuring GMF artists alongside Bass G in an intimate and interactive jam session format. The initiative aims to broaden the festival’s reach, strengthen engagement with the local music community, and invite more music lovers to become part of the Gaia Music Festival 2026 celebration.
With a target of attracting more than 1,000 visitors over the two-day event, Gaia Music Festival 2026 is expected to once again make a positive contribution to Bandung’s music ecosystem, tourism industry, and creative economy. Support from national media, arts communities, and creative industry stakeholders further reinforces the festival’s position as one of the city’s most significant annual music events.
Aven Putranto, Executive Assistant Manager of The Gaia Hotel Bandung, said Gaia Music Festival forms an integral part of the hotel’s commitment to delivering active, refreshing, and meaningful hospitality experiences for its guests.
“For The Gaia Hotel Bandung, Gaia Music Festival is part of our identity. Through our Active/Rest philosophy, we aim to inspire guests to discover new experiences, including through music. The festival is not only a place to enjoy outstanding performances, but also a welcoming, intimate, and family-friendly environment. At the same time, it continues to strengthen Gaia Music Festival’s position as a signature event that has become an important part of The Gaia Hotel Bandung’s journey and brand identity,” said Putranto.
Beyond entertainment, Gaia Music Festival also demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusivity and sustainability. The festival grounds are designed to be accessible for families and people with disabilities, while a range of environmentally friendly initiatives will be introduced to minimise the event’s impact on the surrounding environment.
Guided by its spirit of togetherness, Gaia Music Festival 2026 invites music lovers to enjoy two days filled with harmony, inspiration, and meaningful connections. More than simply a music festival, Gaia Music Festival is a shared space where diversity is celebrated through the universal language that everyone can enjoy: music.
Information regarding ticket sales, performance schedules, and the festival’s full programme will be announced through Gaia Music Festival’s official channels in the near future.
