Music once again filled Bandung’s valley with the staging of Gaia Music Festival (GMF) 2026 at the Amphitheatre of The Gaia Hotel Bandung. Entering its fifth year, GMF returns with the theme “Music for All”, embracing the idea that music is a shared space that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of genre or background.

The first day of Gaia Music Festival 2026 featured RAN, Teddy Adhitya, Littlefingers, and Keubitbit, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles in one series of performances. The distinct character of each musician became part of this year’s GMF experience—from intimate and soulful sounds to more dynamic energy that encouraged the audience to sing along.

Teddy Adhitya brought a warm and personal atmosphere to the main stage. With a musical style that blends pop, soul and R&B, Teddy was one of the performers who brought out the intimate side of Gaia Music Festival.

“When performing at Gaia Music Festival, I actually found myself wanting to be part of the audience. The atmosphere feels so enjoyable and relaxed, making you want to sit down and simply enjoy the music. There is a warmth and comfort that swept me along, as if I wasn’t just performing on stage, but also becoming part of the experience of enjoying music together,” said Teddy Adhitya.

Meanwhile, RAN brought a more playful and communal energy to the festival. The presence of the group, which has been part of the journey of Indonesian pop music, made the festival atmosphere even more lively, with audiences singing along and enjoying songs that have become familiar to several generations.

“We are very happy to be part of Gaia Music Festival 2026. For us, music is about sharing energy and creating moments together with the audience. Performing in front of audiences from different generations is a very valuable experience, and we hope RAN’s presence at Gaia can bring positive energy and allow everyone here to enjoy music together,” said RAN.

Beyond these two acts, Littlefingers and Keubitbit further enriched the musical journey on the first day with their own distinctive styles. This diversity is one of the strengths of GMF 2026, creating a festival that is not confined to a single musical style but instead gives audiences the opportunity to discover a broader range of musical experiences.

In addition to the main stage, GMF 2026 also features the Endless Stage, an alternative stage offering a more relaxed and interactive performance atmosphere. Located in the Endless Stairs area, the stage provides a more intimate musical experience, set against the natural panorama of The Gaia Hotel Bandung. Endless Stairs is an iconic stairway comprising around 261 steps, taking guests through the lush green hillside, past a koi pond and towards an area near the swimming pool waterfall. Bass G Feat Song Brothers will perform on this stage on both days, combining music with a more intimate experience of the surrounding natural environment.

At GMF, nature is more than just a backdrop. The Amphitheatre, located in the Bandung Valley, creates an atmosphere that makes the music feel closer and more personal. The combination of the natural landscape, architecture, music and audience interaction forms part of the experience that distinguishes Gaia Music Festival from conventional music festivals.

Through the theme “Music for All”, Gaia Music Festival 2026 seeks to broaden the meaning of a music festival: it is not only about who performs on stage, but also about who can enjoy, discover and become part of the experience.

The first day of GMF 2026 marked the beginning of a celebration of music that brought together musicians with diverse styles and audiences in a warm and intimate setting. With a variety of performances, two distinct stages and Bandung’s natural landscape forming an integral part of the experience, Gaia Music Festival once again presents music as a space to meet, share and enjoy moments together.
