Sanur Death Case Breakthrough

Investigations into the suspicious death of an Australian man earlier this week in Sanur, Bali, continue after police discovered blood not belonging to the victim.

Australian media has reported the death of Stephen Richardson, who was discovered dead in his villa on Monday, May 8, is not suicide or accidental with an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.

Preliminary examinations conducted at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar, revealed the 63-year-old had been physically assaulted, forensics head Dr. Dudut Rustyadi said.

“Judging from the location of the wound, like on the back of his head, that kind of violence is not caused by suicidal act or accident,” Rustyadi said, as quoted by Australian Associated Press.

Blood samples have been sent to Jakarta for further testing.
