Mayapada Hospital Tangerang (MHTG), part of the Mayapada Healthcare hospital network operated by PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk. (IDX: SRAJ), has officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for its fourth building.
The ceremony marks Mayapada Healthcare’s readiness to commence construction of the new facility, reinforcing the hospital’s service capacity, which is currently supported by three operational buildings, while also expanding healthcare access across Banten and the Greater Jakarta region.
The ceremony was led by President Commissioner of Mayapada Healthcare, Jonathan Tahir; President Director & CEO of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Sonthalia; and Hospital Director of Mayapada Hospital Tangerang, dr. Nurhidayati Endah Puspita Sari, MARS, FISQua, CHQP.
The fourth building of MHTG is designed with a total floor area of 7,643 square metres and will comprise nine storeys and one basement level. The initial phase of development will focus on three main floors and the basement, which will serve as an integrated Oncology Centre combined with Nuclear Medicine services. The facility will be equipped with advanced medical technologies, including Digital PET Scan and SPECT-CT systems, to support comprehensive cancer diagnosis and treatment, alongside an increase in inpatient bed capacity.
In the subsequent development phase, the fourth tower will introduce additional flagship specialist services, including Aesthetic & Wellness facilities and the Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC).

President Commissioner of Mayapada Healthcare, Jonathan Tahir, stated that the expansion of Mayapada Hospital Tangerang through the fourth tower reflects the group’s long-term commitment to delivering internationally recognised healthcare standards across all Mayapada Hospital units.
“Mayapada Healthcare continues to strengthen access to essential healthcare services for the community, including the advancement of oncology care that is sophisticated, comprehensive, modern, and fully integrated, while consistently upholding patient-centred care principles at every stage of treatment,” said Jonathan.
President Director & CEO of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Sonthalia, added that the fourth tower will establish an integrated oncology centre seamlessly connected to the hospital’s existing three towers.
“This development further reinforces Mayapada Hospital Tangerang’s position as a multi-speciality integrated hospital, while expanding service capacity and supporting Mayapada Healthcare’s growth in Banten and the Jabodetabek region. Oncology services at MHTG will also be strengthened through collaboration with Apollo Hospitals India as Mayapada Healthcare’s strategic partner, particularly in clinical knowledge transfer, evidence-based protocol standardisation, and the enhancement of sub-speciality services,” he explained.
The fourth building of MHTG is dedicated primarily as an Oncology Centre encompassing Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics services. Facilities include a Hot Lab and a Radioactive Isolation Room (RIRA), as well as advanced diagnostic technologies such as Digital PET Scan and SPECT-CT. These services are fully integrated with MHTG’s existing LINAC radiotherapy and chemotherapy services.
Additional facilities include inpatient wards, consultation rooms, dedicated outpatient clinics, outpatient chemotherapy services, and mammography. This integrated approach is designed to create a more comprehensive and efficient cancer care pathway, from screening and early diagnosis through to advanced therapy.
Hospital Director of Mayapada Hospital, Tangerang, dr. Nurhidayati Endah Puspita Sari, MARS, FISQua, CHQP, noted that the fourth tower will significantly enhance the quality of clinical services, particularly in oncology, complementing the LINAC radiotherapy services that MHTG introduced as the first of its kind in Banten.
“With the integration of radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, PET Scan, chemotherapy, and oncology inpatient services, we are confident in strengthening our role as a regional cancer referral centre, while expanding access for communities in Tangerang, Banten, and the wider Jabodetabek area. All services are supported by a multidisciplinary team through the Tumour Board, as well as dedicated Patient Navigators,” she said.
Mayapada Hospital Tangerang is the first hospital in Banten to provide radiotherapy services, featuring a state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator (LINAC) system inaugurated in 2023. The Oncology Centre at Mayapada Hospital is supported by an active Tumour Board comprising multidisciplinary specialists who design comprehensive, internationally aligned cancer treatment plans, alongside Patient Navigators who assist patients and their families throughout every stage of care.
Beyond its oncology focus, the next phase of development for the fourth tower will also include a range of comprehensive services, such as fertility treatment (IVF), mental health services through the Solace Clinic, eye care at the Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC), a Dental Centre, Thalassaemia Centre, Aesthetic & Wellness services, Nutrition services, and acupuncture. The expansion will also increase the capacity of Junior Suite inpatient rooms and supporting inpatient facilities for bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients, complete with donor facilities (apheresis), harvesting rooms, and a family corner to enhance comfort for patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
