International tourists arriving in Indonesia can now book tickets for the Whoosh high-speed train directly through the All Indonesia platform to continue their journeys to Bandung or Karawang in West Java.
The initiative took effect on Friday, the 16th of October, following the formalisation of a partnership between the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration and PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). The partnership was formalised through an agreement signed by the Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, and KCIC President Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi. The signing coincided with KCIC’s anniversary celebrations on Friday as well.
Through this collaboration, international passengers who have completed their arrival declaration via All Indonesia can access the Whoosh ticket-booking website directly through a link provided on the platform. Therefore, international passengers can conveniently plan their onward journeys using their mobile devices without using a different app.
“We want the ease of travel to extend beyond the immigration checkpoint. Upon arrival in Indonesia, it should be just as simple for travellers to continue their journeys. This collaboration connects international arrival services with modern transportation, offering a more practical, unified access point,” Marantoko said.
The partnership comes amid strong public interest in the Whoosh high-speed train. Since commencing operations, the service has facilitated more than 16.9 million passenger journeys as of July 2026. Furthermore, by August 2026, foreign nationals had made 944,087 passenger journeys on Whoosh. These figures highlight the significant potential for integrating international arrival services with transport connections to various destinations across West Java.
Meanwhile, All Indonesia streamlines the arrival declaration process by consolidating immigration, customs, health, and quarantine services on a single platform. International passengers can complete their declarations up to three days before arrival. The All Indonesia platform has been used by 29,119,141 international passengers as of October 2026.
Beyond facilitating access to transport, the collaboration between the Directorate General of Immigration and KCIC also includes the exchange of passenger data and information to support immigration oversight, while maintaining security standards and protecting personal data.
