Saudia Airlines Launches Direct Flights from Bali to Jeddah Starting March 2025

The new route strengthens global connectivity and caters to the growing demand for leisure and pilgrimage travel between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian airline, Saudia Airlines, has officially launched a new route connecting Denpasar, Bali, with Jeddah, starting from the 31st of March.

This new route is part of Saudia Airlines’ expansion strategy to strengthen its global flight network, targeting the leisure traveller market share, considering that Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It also aims to capture opportunities arising from the increasing number of tourists and pilgrims travelling from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia.

The flight will operate using a Boeing Dreamliner 787-900 aircraft, with a capacity of 24 business class seats and 274 economy class seats. Additionally, flights will be scheduled three times a week, namely on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

We are very excited to present this flight, which not only expands travel options for tourists but also strengthens global connectivity to and from Bali,” said Faisal Alallah, Saudia Country Manager for Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, as quoted from the press on Friday, the 21st of February.

Henry Setiawan, VP of Sales & Marketing Saudia Indonesia, also added, “We believe that this new route will provide more convenience for passengers who want to explore the beauty of Bali or travel to Jeddah with more flexible options.”

Setiawan also explained that Saudia Airlines not only serves flights for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims but also caters to business and leisure travellers. Moreover, the airline exclusively provides a prayer area on board, which is available in the rear cabin on all wide-body aircraft.

Saudia Airlines, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is a national carrier based in Jeddah. The airline was founded in the year 1945 and has grown to become one of the largest airlines in the Middle East, serving more than 100 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. In 2024, Saudia Airlines won the World’s Most Improved Airline and Best Economy Class Catering awards at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
