Daddy’s Burger
For burger lovers in Jakarta, there’s another new burger restaurant you can try: Daddy’s Burger. Located in Meruya, West Jakarta, this burger bar features a design reminiscent of a fancy American burger bar. Its spacious space and open kitchen concept allow diners to watch the chefs prepare their burgers and beef patties. Every component, from the patty to the bun, is homemade, to boot. Their signature dish is the smashed burger, featuring a super juicy double patty, cheddar cheese, and a thick, soft bun. Other options include Hiro’s Favorite with a single patty and tomato brioche, Naomi’s Fish with fish, buttermilk chicken, and cheese.

This Singaporean brand opened its first branch in South Jakarta; with five locations in Singapore, the brand is now expanding beyond its home country and opened its first international outlet in Indonesia. One of the highlights of the matcha served here is that it uses seven grams of matcha powder of varying quality, extendable to nine grams. There are four types of matcha powder on offer: hikari with roasted cocoa notes, sei with umami flavour, haru, and panda. Isabella Steakhouse
This newly opened steakhouse in Jakarta introduces the pioneering itameshi concept, harmoniously blending Italian and Japanese cuisines to enhance the uniqueness of its steaks. As a result, Isabella Steakhouse, under the culinary artistry of Chef Henry Brata, offers a distinctive approach in comparison to other steakhouses in the city. Moreover, Chef Brata emphasises the restaurant’s signature character through the presentation of steaks, opting for secondary cuts that maintain exceptional flavour and texture instead of premium cuts. The steaks are served without marination or heavy seasoning, as Chef Brata aims to highlight the natural flavour of high-quality beef. Although the steak remains the focal point at Isabella Steakhouse, careful attention is also given to supporting elements such as various appetisers designed to stimulate the palate, including the Beef Pizzette, which features a crispy tortilla topped with marinated beef galbi, truffle cheese, and truffle aioli.
