The Trans Resort Bali successfully hosted the inaugural edition of THE TABLE by JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs) with an exclusive culinary event, Sunset Canapés with Michelin-Star Chef Giorgio Bartolucci, bringing together invited guests and culinary enthusiasts for an elegant evening celebrating Italian gastronomy, sunset views, and world-class hospitality.
The evening commenced as guests arrived and gathered at the resort’s lobby, where they were warmly welcomed before being escorted to The 18th Rooftop. As the sun began its descent over Bali’s western horizon, guests made their way to the rooftop venue, setting the stage for a memorable sunset experience above Seminyak.
Against the backdrop of Bali’s golden sunset, guests enjoyed a curated selection of cocktails and Michelin-inspired canapés crafted by Chef Giorgio Bartolucci, a distinguished Michelin-recognized chef from Italy and member of JRE – Jeunes Restaurateurs. The combination of elevated flavors, refreshing beverages, and panoramic rooftop views created a sophisticated atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of THE TABLE by JRE.
Throughout the evening, guests mingled and savored an array of Italian-inspired canapés while enjoying the vibrant ambiance enhanced by a live DJ performance. The carefully curated soundtrack added a modern and energetic touch, complementing the elegant rooftop setting as day transitioned into night.
One of the highlights of the evening was an interactive live cooking session led by Chef Giorgio Bartolucci. Guests gathered around the cooking station to witness the chef prepare one of his signature dishes, Spaghetto Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino. Prepared using traditional Italian techniques, the dish was elevated with Chef Giorgio’s contemporary interpretation and finished with “pane atturrato”, toasted breadcrumbs that added depth, texture, and character to this iconic Italian classic.
The subtle heat of Italian chili, combined with premium olive oil and the crunch of toasted breadcrumbs, delivered a simple yet refined expression of authentic Italian cuisine that captivated guests throughout the demonstration.
According to Stefano Gianfriddo, Resort Manager of The Trans Resort Bali, the program reflects the resort’s commitment to bringing world-class culinary experiences to Bali.
“With THE TABLE, we did not simply want to create another culinary event series. Our ambition was to develop a platform capable of contributing to Bali’s evolution as an international gastronomic destination,” said Stefano.
Following the success of the Sunset Canapés event, THE TABLE by JRE will continue with the highly anticipated Michelin Fine Dining Experience on 21 June 2026 at The Pool Deck, The Trans Resort Bali. During the event, Chef Giorgio will present an exclusive fine dining menu specially crafted for guests.
