A Ramadan Celebration Through a Curated Culinary Journey Across Cultures

Le Méridien Jakarta unveils its Ramadan culinary program through “The Silk Road of Iftar”, an exploration inspired by the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the historic Silk Road. This year’s offerings feature an array of dishes from the Middle East, India, and Japan, presented through a series of buffet concepts and set menus across the hotel’s restaurants.

Le Méridien Jakarta’s Director of Sales & Marketing, Refly Saputro, emphasised that this year’s Ramadan offerings are designed to create a deeper and more meaningful dining experience.

Ramadan is always a moment of reflection and togetherness. Through ‘The Silk Road of Iftar,’ we aim to present more than just a collection of dishes; we want to deliver a journey of flavours across cultures, from the Middle East to Asia. Our culinary team is committed to offering authentic yet modern dining experiences,” Refly shared.

Ramadan Nights in Beiteddine – Al Nafoura Restaurant

At Al Nafoura, Ramadan becomes more than a tradition; it transforms into a passage back to the heart of Lebanon. “Ramadan Nights in Beiteddine” draws inspiration from Beiteddine Palace, the summer residence of Lebanon’s president, where centuries-old stone walls echo with the scent of spices and warm hospitality.

Under the guidance of Chef Mohammed Hammady, each dish becomes a window into the Middle East: sweet dates that greet the evening, cooling laban, fragrant Oriental Rice, tender roasted lamb, and a colourful selection of mezze. Together, they recreate the comforting atmosphere of travellers gathered beneath the desert sky—sharing stories, warmth, and a meal after a long day of fasting.

Led by Chef Alok Mondal, each course is crafted with meticulous care, preserving the soul of Indian spices while presenting them with refined modernity. Every plate arrives like a chapter in a royal feast, guiding guests through layers of aroma, flavour, and history.
