Gran Meliá Jakarta Presents Malaysian Gastronomic Month

Gran Meliá Jakarta invites guests on an extraordinary culinary journey through the vibrant flavours of Malaysia with Malaysian Gastronomic Month, an exclusive dining experience at Café Gran Via. Supported by Tourism Malaysia Jakarta, the special dinner buffet will run from 27 July to 14 August 2026, showcasing an authentic collection of Malaysia’s most beloved specialities, celebrating the country’s rich multicultural culinary heritage.

Bringing the authentic taste of Malaysia to Jakarta, this exclusive collaboration is presented under the guidance of Executive Chef Addy Dzulfadzly from Meliá Kuala Lumpur, who will be in residence at Gran Meliá Jakarta from 27 July to 14 August 2026. During his limited engagement, Chef Addy will share his culinary expertise and passion for Malaysian gastronomy, allowing guests to savour signature dishes prepared using traditional techniques and authentic ingredients.

Renowned for its harmonious blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous influences, Malaysian cuisine is a vibrant tapestry of bold spices, fragrant herbs, and generations of culinary tradition. Throughout the promotion, Café Gran Via transforms into a destination where guests can experience the true essence of Malaysia through an immersive and authentic dining experience.

The culinary journey begins with a selection of refreshing appetisers, including Kerabu Pucuk Paku dan Kerang, Kerabu Nangka, Kerabu Kaki Ayam, and the classic Acar Jelatah. The main course features an enticing array of iconic Malaysian dishes such as Ayam Masak Merah, Daging Masak Hitam, Dhalca Gulai Kambing, Ikan Masak Assam Pedas, Sambal Udang, and Singgang Lautan with prawns, squid, and clams, complemented by traditional vegetable favourites including Sayur Kobis Goreng Udang Kering and Sayur Petola Telur Pecah Tumis Air.

To conclude the experience, guests can indulge in beloved Malaysian desserts including Bubur Jagung Manis, Bubur Pulut Hitam, and Kuih Ketayap, accompanied by iconic beverages such as Sirap Bandung, Teh Tarik, and Air Mata Kucing.

Available daily for dinner at Café Gran Via from 27 July to 14 August 2026, the Malaysian Gastronomic Month buffet is priced at IDR 395,000++ per person.
