Citilink to Launch Flights to Frankfurt and Jeddah

Citilink

Citilink is set to launch two long-haul, international flights in the final quarter of 2019. The low-cost Indonesian carrier will provide long-haul flights to Frankfurt and Jeddah.

“Frankfurt and Jeddah are potential destinations that will be developed. We will introduce the inaugural flights in October and December,” said the CEO of Citilink Indonesia, Juliandra, on Sunday.

Frankfurt was chosen as it is the third largest flight hub in Europe, after London and Amsterdam. The flight to Frankfurt will be available from October. Meanwhile, the flight to Jeddah will start in December ’19. In the near future, the company aims to provide flights to major Australian cities and Vietnam. They are currently working on permits to fly to these countries.

Citilink will employ wide-body fleets such as the 365-seater Airbus A330-900 NEO, which can travel up to a distance of 13,000 km for long-haul flights.
