Ahmad Riza Patria, a member of the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN), explained that Prabowo’s recent trip to Dubai is so that he can meet up with his colleagues and for health purposes.
Ahmad stated that Prabowo aims to pursue a medical check-up in the country.
“He is just meeting business colleagues, and at the same time conducting a medical check-up,” Riza added. He also claims that Prabowo has not been able to reach out to meet many of his colleagues due to the hectic schedule of the 2019 election. Ahmad stated that Prabowo’s health check-up in Dubai is a routine one.
A lot of rumours have circulated about Prabowo’s trip to Dubai. The retired army general had departed from the Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in Jakarta aboard his personal jet, Embraer 190 Lineage 1000, on Tuesday 28th May.
Prabowo is known to be accompanied by seven people, namely Tedy Arman, Yuriko Fransisko Karundeng, Gibrael Habel Karapang, and four foreign nationals – the Russians Mikhail Davydov, Anzhelika Butaeva, Justin from the United States, and Mischa Gemermann from Germany.
