Inside the Chelsea Bridge Suite at Citadines Sudirman Jakarta: A unique stay combining football heritage, modern comfort, and panoramic views of the capital.
Chelsea FC, one of the biggest football clubs in England, has officially partnered with Ascott Indonesia as its official hotel partner, launching two themed suite rooms in Jakarta: The Legend Suite in Ascott Sudirman Jakarta and the Chelsea Bridge Suite in Citadines Sudirman Jakarta. However, in this review, I am going to focus only on the Bridge Suite one.
Here is what I experienced from this unique suite.
This suite is located on the 32nd floor in Citadines Sudirman Jakarta. As I headed towards the room, I was immediately surprised by the front door. I had expected to stroll around the corridor looking for the room, but that was unnecessary. As it is officially licensed by Chelsea FC, the entrance is, in fact, easily recognisable with its blue exterior wall and Chelsea’s iconic lion mascot mounted on the door.
As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a big blue wall with the words “BLUE IS THE COLOUR” on the left side, strongly saying that this room is dedicated to Chelsea FC and its biggest fans in Indonesia. To the right of the entrance is a kitchen and dining area, equipped with a complete kitchen set, including an electric stove, a built-in microwave, a bread toaster, a water dispenser, an instant coffee maker, and a refrigerator. Everything is ready to use, so I did not have to worry if I got hungry in the middle of the night, as I could easily prepare my own meal in the room.
Exactly in front of the dining area is the living area, since the residence adopts an open-space concept. This is where the Chelsea atmosphere becomes even more apparent, with its blue rug, blue curtains, a two-seater sofa with blue pillows, and a large photograph of Stamford Bridge stadium. But that is not all. Chelsea details could also be seen on the television cabinet, with Chelsea magazines, plush dolls, and a scarf. One of the highlights is a handwritten note from Chelsea’s former captain and England international, Gary Cahill, which reads, “Gary Cahill was here!“, complete with his signature. Yeah, I stayed in the same room as Gary did— I could not have been more excited at that time, even though I am not a Chelsea fan. And, for your information, Gary even visited Jakarta to attend the event “The Famous CFC Jakarta” on the 29th of November 2025, where Ascott officially announced its partnership with Chelsea and introduced the Chelsea Bridge Suite room in Citadines Sudirman Jakarta.
Another highlight of the residence is its balcony. As Citadines Sudirman Jakarta is located in the heart of Jakarta, this serviced residence would be one of the most recommended places to view Jakarta’s beautiful sky from high. I imagined myself drinking a cup of tea and having some biscuits while enjoying the sunset. That would be a luxurious experience, right? The view was even better during the night, when Jakarta’s skyscrapers were illuminated with colourful lights. At that moment, I thought to myself that this picturesque view is too good to sleep through, although I ended up sleeping after 12 AM.
Now, let’s move to the bedrooms. Chelsea Bridge Suite offers a spacious residence with 63 square metres, and can accommodate up to four people. Since there are two bedrooms, I did not want to stay by myself; so, I invited my two sisters to join this fancy stay. The first bedroom, in which my sisters stayed, has a queen-sized bed, making the sleep experience more comfortable, and there was also Gary Cahill’s Chelsea jersey framed on the wall in front of the bed. Across the bedroom, you can find a bathroom complete with bathroom facilities and a washing machine. Yes, there is a washing machine in this suite unit. Therefore, I think you do not need to bring too many clothes, and there is no need to order a laundry service here.
The next one is the master bedroom. With its more spacious size, this room naturally became my choice for the night. Unlike the second bedroom, the master bedroom feels more luxurious thanks to its larger layout and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow plenty of natural light to fill the space during the day. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, making it tempting to stay in bed for a little longer the following morning. The room also features a large wardrobe, a dressing table, and another television, allowing guests to enjoy some private time without having to gather in the living area.
One of the highlights of the master bedroom is its en-suite bathroom. Designed with a modern aesthetic, it comes complete with a separate shower area, premium bathroom amenities, and, most importantly, a bathtub. After spending the afternoon exploring Jakarta and admiring the city skyline from the balcony, soaking in the warm bathtub turned out to be the perfect way to end the day.
Although the suite proudly embraces Chelsea’s identity throughout its interior, I think it never feels overwhelming. Instead, the football-themed decorations blend naturally with the modern design of the residence, making it appealing not only to Chelsea supporters but also to travellers looking for a stylish and spacious serviced residence in the heart of Jakarta. Even my sisters, who have little interest in football, appreciated the elegant design and comfortable atmosphere of the suite. But, if you are one of the Chelsea supporters, then I believe that this suite will offer you an unforgettable experience before heading to the actual Chelsea headquarters, Stamford Bridge, in London.
Of course, staying at Citadines Sudirman Jakarta is not just about the room itself. As a serviced residence, guests also have access to a range of facilities that complement the overall experience. The outdoor swimming pool, located on the eighth floor, offers a refreshing place to relax while enjoying panoramic views of Jakarta’s skyline. Next to the swimming pool is the fitness centre, equipped with a selection of cardio machines, free weights, and strength-training equipment.
Beyond these facilities, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta also benefits from its strategic location. Located in Jakarta’s central business district, the residence offers convenient access to office buildings in the Mega Kuningan area, shopping centres (Lotte Shopping Avenue and Kuningan City), and public transportation (TransJakarta buses). Whether visiting Jakarta for business, a family holiday, or simply a weekend staycation, guests can easily reach many of the city’s attractions within a short drive.
If I were asked whether I would stay here again, my answer would definitely be yes. Not because it converted me into a Chelsea fan overnight, but because it delivered exactly what a memorable staycation should: comfort, convenience, distinctive character, and facilities that encourage guests to slow down and enjoy their surroundings. I would say that the Chelsea Bridge Suite at Citadines Sudirman Jakarta proves that a themed accommodation can be much more than clever branding; it can become an experience in itself.
