In celebration of National Children’s Day, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta welcomed children from Yayasan Remaja Masa Depan “Panti Asuhan Tebet” for a heartwarming and educational initiative titled “Little Hoteliers for a Day” on the 29th of July 2026.
The programme was designed to introduce young participants to the world of hospitality through immersive, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and learning. Attended by the hotel’s Heads of Department and associates from multiple divisions, the event transformed Citadines Sudirman Jakarta into an interactive learning environment where children had the opportunity to explore the daily operations of a serviced residence while engaging directly with hospitality professionals.
Throughout the day, participants experienced the guest journey by learning how to welcome and assist guests at Guest Services, including the check-in process. They also discovered the importance of comfort and attention to detail by practising towel art and housekeeping techniques alongside the Housekeeping team.
The children further explored the behind-the-scenes operations of the property by joining the Engineering team to learn how guest facilities are maintained and how technical teams ensure a safe and comfortable stay for every visitor. As part of Citadines Sudirman Jakarta‘s commitment to sustainability, the children also took part in a creative recycled paper-making workshop, demonstrating how simple environmental practices can help reduce waste while encouraging creativity and environmental awareness.

Beyond introducing children to the hospitality industry, the initiative aimed to provide meaningful exposure to teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and service excellence through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
“Children are our future, and we believe that every experience has the power to inspire their dreams. Through Little Hoteliers for a Day, we wanted to create an enjoyable learning journey where children could discover the many opportunities within the hospitality industry while building confidence through interactive experiences. We hope this programme leaves them with wonderful memories and inspires them to pursue their aspirations with courage,” said Hairil Mukhlis, General Manager of Citadines Sudirman Jakarta & Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta.
The event reflects Citadines Sudirman Jakarta’s ongoing commitment to creating a positive social impact by supporting local communities through educational and meaningful engagement. By opening its doors to young learners, the property hopes to nurture curiosity, encourage lifelong learning, and strengthen its connection with the surrounding community.
As part of The Ascott Limited, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta continues to champion initiatives that create shared value for guests, associates, and the communities it serves. Through programmes such as Little Hoteliers for a Day, the property reaffirms its belief that hospitality extends beyond providing accommodation. It is about creating opportunities, inspiring future generations, and making a lasting difference.
