The new Urology & Nephrology Clinic offers comprehensive care for urinary tract, prostate, and kidney conditions, supported by advanced technology and minimally invasive treatments.
The rising number of urinary tract stone cases, prostate disorders, and kidney disease in Indonesia has highlighted the need for healthcare services that provide comprehensive care, from early detection to advanced treatment. By combining modern technology, minimally invasive procedures, and a patient-centred approach focused on safety and comfort, Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong has launched its Urology & Nephrology Clinic as a comprehensive centre for the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract, prostate, and kidney conditions.
The launch of the Urology & Nephrology Clinic was marked by a Product Knowledge event held on the 29th of July 2026 at the Auditorium of Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong. The event was attended by more than 150 invited guests, including healthcare professionals, corporate partners, business associates, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
The clinic offers integrated services ranging from diagnostic examinations and medical therapy to minimally invasive and reconstructive surgery, haemodialysis, and post-treatment rehabilitation. Through this comprehensive approach, patients can receive accurate, safe, comfortable, and continuous care in one location.

Iwan A. Setiawan, Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at Bethsaida Healthcare, explained, “The launch of the Urology & Nephrology Clinic reflects Bethsaida Healthcare’s commitment to continuously providing healthcare services that meet the evolving needs of the community. We aim to offer easier access to integrated care for urinary tract, prostate, and kidney disorders, covering screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation in one place. Supported by modern technology and a team of experienced specialist and subspecialist doctors, we hope patients can receive faster, more accurate, safer, and more comfortable treatment without having to move between different healthcare facilities.”
For the treatment of urinary tract stones, Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong offers a range of procedures based on each patient’s medical condition, including Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), Ureteroscopy (URS), Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS), Mini Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (Mini PCNL), and Double J (DJ) Stent insertion.
For prostate disorders, available treatments include medical therapy, prostate biopsy, Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP), and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP).
One of the clinic’s flagship technologies is Cyber Ho with Magneto Technology, the latest-generation Holmium laser system designed to treat both urinary tract stones and enlarged prostates. For urinary tract stones, the technology enables both fragmentation and dusting techniques, allowing stones to be broken down into finer particles with greater precision. For enlarged prostates, it supports HoLEP through a minimally invasive approach that aims to reduce bleeding, accelerate recovery, and improve patient comfort.
“Urinary tract, prostate, and kidney disorders are often interconnected and require collaboration between specialists to ensure patients receive the most appropriate treatment. Through the Urology & Nephrology Clinic, we provide integrated services ranging from early detection and diagnosis to medical therapy, minimally invasive procedures, follow-up care, and rehabilitation. Supported by modern technology and multidisciplinary collaboration, we hope every patient receives faster, more accurate, safer, and more comfortable care tailored to their individual condition,” said dr. Boyke Budiman Sumantri, Sp.U., Head of the Urology & Nephrology Clinic at Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong.
“Every patient has different clinical needs, so treatment cannot be standardised. Before deciding on the most appropriate procedure, we consider factors such as the size and location of the stone, the anatomy of the urinary tract, the severity of the obstruction, and the patient’s overall health. Technologies such as Laser Magneto enable us to perform procedures with greater precision. For patients requiring urinary tract reconstruction, we are also able to manage more complex cases, including strictures, injuries, and structural abnormalities, through a continuous and integrated service,” explained dr. Donny Eka Putra, Sp.U., Subsp.TRK(K), Consultant Urologist specialising in Trauma and Urinary Tract Reconstruction at Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong.
From the nephrology perspective, the clinic provides kidney function assessments, consultations for kidney disease, monitoring of patients with diabetes and hypertension, and haemodialysis services. Diagnostic support includes kidney and urinary tract ultrasound, urine, urea and creatinine laboratory tests, 512-slice CT scanning with AI, and 3-Tesla MRI with AI-assisted technology, enabling more comprehensive diagnosis.
“Kidney disease often develops gradually without causing distinctive symptoms. Therefore, early detection is essential to prevent further decline in kidney function. Patients with hypertension, diabetes, recurrent urinary tract stones, or a family history of kidney disease, such as kidney cysts, should undergo regular health checks so that any abnormalities can be detected and treated before progressing to chronic kidney disease,” said dr. Mutalib Abdullah, Sp.PD.KGH, FINASIM, Consultant Nephrologist and Hypertension Specialist at Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong.
Closing the launch event, dr. Margareth Aryani Santoso, MARS, Director of Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong, reaffirmed that the Urology & Nephrology Clinic represents part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to expanding its centres of excellence and delivering increasingly comprehensive healthcare services.
“We believe that quality healthcare is determined not only by advanced technology but also by the ability to provide integrated, patient-centred services supported by multidisciplinary collaboration. Through the Urology & Nephrology Clinic, we have created a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem where patients can receive examinations, diagnosis, treatment, ongoing care, and follow-up in one location. Our hope is that every patient can undergo treatment more comfortably and effectively while achieving the best possible clinical outcomes through high-quality, patient-safe healthcare.”
