2026 National Holidays and Collective Leave

The Indonesian government has announced a total of 24 national holidays and collective leave days for 2026.

The public holiday and collective leave schedule has been formalised through Joint Decrees No. 1497 of 2025, No. 2 of 2025, and No. 5 of 2025 on National Public Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026, signed by the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform.

This also functions as a reference for government institutions and private companies in the implementation of official public holidays and collective leave in 2026.

The official list of Indonesia’s national public holidays for 2026 is as follows:

  • 1st January (Thursday): New Year’s Day
  • 16th January (Friday): Isra Mikraj (Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad)
  • 17th February (Tuesday): Chinese New Year 2577
  • 19th March (Thursday): Day of Silence (Nyepi) / Saka New Year 1948
  • 21st–22nd March (Saturday–Sunday): Eid al-Fitr 1447
  • 3rd April (Friday): Good Friday
  • 5th April (Sunday): Easter Sunday
  • 1st May (Friday): International Labour Day
  • 14th May (Thursday): Ascension Day

  • 27th May (Wednesday): Eid al-Adha 1447
  • 31st May (Sunday): Vesak Day 2570
  • 1st June (Monday): Pancasila Day
  • 16th June (Tuesday): Islamic New Year 1448
  • 17th August (Monday): Independence Day
  • 25th August (Tuesday): Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday
  • 25th December (Friday): Christmas Day

The list of collective leave days in Indonesia for 2026:

  • 16th February (Monday): Chinese New Year 2577
  • 18th March (Wednesday): Day of Silence (Nyepi) / Saka New Year 1948
  • 20th, 23rd, and 24th March (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday): Eid al-Fitr 1447
  • 15th May (Friday): Ascension Day
  • 28th May (Thursday): Eid al-Adha 1447
  • 24th December (Thursday): Christmas Day
