A new premium resort destination in East Sumba combining contemporary lifestyle and natural beauty.

ARTOTEL Group has officially expanded its portfolio in Eastern Indonesia with the opening of Myze Hotel Waingapu, located in East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The hotel’s inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Deputy Regent of East Sumba, Mr Yonathan Hani, S.Kom., M.A.P., symbolising the beginning of a new chapter in the region’s tourism development.

Myze Hotel Waingapu is presented as a premium accommodation option for travellers seeking to experience the natural wonders of East Sumba. Strategically located just 10 minutes from Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport and close to many of East Sumba’s must-visit attractions—such as Prailiu Traditional Village, Persaudaraan Hill, Walakiri Beach, Tenau Savanna, and Warinding Hill—the hotel serves as an ideal gateway for exploring the region’s natural and cultural beauty.

The hotel offers a range of accommodation options enriched with local cultural décor. Room categories include Studio 32, Studio 45, Studio 65, and one- or two-bedroom villas, providing added privacy for families and long-stay guests. Additional facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, Lodhu Pool & Bar, Rasa Mame Restaurant, a gym, Ratu Nggai Spa, and a kids’ club. Myze Hotel Waingapu also offers the largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities in East Sumba, with a ballroom accommodating up to 600 guests and three function rooms—each for up to 100 guests—making it the preferred venue for conferences, weddings, company outings, and corporate events.

Eduard Rudolf Pangkerego, Chief Operating Officer of ARTOTEL Group, stated, “Myze Hotel Waingapu is an exotic property for us as it is located in Eastern Indonesia, a region with remarkable tourism potential. This motivates us to advance tourism in eastern Indonesia—particularly Waingapu—by creating market demand among millennial and Gen Z travellers to vacation here through various activities, from nature exploration to positioning Waingapu as a wedding and honeymoon destination, as well as a venue for corporate and government meetings combined with leisure. In addition, we aim to promote Myze Hotel Waingapu internationally, especially to Australia—which is geographically close to Waingapu—and to Southeast Asian countries, positioning Waingapu as a new tourism destination known beyond Bali and Lombok.”

PT Nahna Maju Bersama, owner of Myze Hotel Waingapu, emphasised that the hotel is envisioned as a premier destination for travellers exploring the beauty of Eastern Indonesia. Built with a concept that blends seamlessly with nature, Myze offers an authentic, serene, and harmonious stay experience that captures the essence of Sumba’s natural landscape. More than just a hotel, Myze is designed to be a home for the people of Sumba—a place that celebrates local pride. This vision is further strengthened by the fact that the property is owned by the people of Waingapu themselves, ensuring its growth contributes directly to the local economy and community welfare. Through this approach, the hotel aims to help position Sumba as a globally recognised destination and a key gateway to experiencing Eastern Indonesia.

Myze Hotel Waingapu is offering a special opening promotion for stays booked until the 10th of December 2025. For reservations and further information, visit the official website myzehotelwaingapu.com or follow @myzehotelwaingapu on Instagram.
