South Korean low-cost airline T’way Air has begun operating direct flights from Jakarta to South Korea starting on Wednesday, the 29th of April, with ticket prices starting from Rp2 million.

The launch was also confirmed in an official statement from the Soekarno–Hatta International Airport authorities on Wednesday. T’way Air operates the route using its Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 347 passengers per flight.

“Starting the 29th of April, 2026, T’way Airlines has officially launched its inaugural flight from Terminal 3 of Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, operating from Jakarta [CGK] to Incheon [ICN],” reads the official statement from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.

In terms of scheduling, the flights from Incheon depart at 3.10 PM local time and arrive in Jakarta at 8.10 PM Western Indonesian Time. Meanwhile, flights from Jakarta to Incheon depart at 9.50 PM Western Indonesian Time, arriving in South Korea at 7.05 AM local time the following day. The direct journey takes approximately seven hours and 10 minutes.

The service is scheduled to operate five times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Based on fare observations on the route’s opening day, ticket prices for departures in early May 2026 start from Rp2 million.

This recently launched route serves as a form of support for South Korea, which is currently implementing a visa-free trial for Indonesian citizens travelling to the Land of Ginseng. The visa-free policy is granted to groups of Indonesian citizens (a minimum of three people) and is valid only during the trial period, from February to December 2026.
