Holywings Group’s flagship gastrobar brings its signature blend of luxury dining, handcrafted cocktails, and hospitality to Kuala Lumpur.
If you haven’t heard of Phoenix Gastrobar Jakarta yet, now might be the time to put it on your radar. Over the past few years, Phoenix has become one of Jakarta’s most talked-about dining and nightlife destinations, known for its luxurious interiors, exceptional cuisine, and expertly crafted cocktails. Its popularity has grown so rapidly that the brand is now taking its first international step with a new opening in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

For many expatriates living in Indonesia, Phoenix has become a familiar name for business dinners, client entertainment, special occasions, and late-night gatherings. The venue stands out for offering more than just a beautiful setting. It has built a reputation for delivering a complete experience, where dining, hospitality, and nightlife come together under one roof.

One of the venue’s standout features is its exclusive VIP rooms, which offer a private and elevated setting for business dinners, client entertainment, celebrations, and social gatherings. Accommodating up to 30 guests, each room combines comfort, privacy, and sophistication, complete with a private karaoke facility that allows guests to continue the evening with food, drinks, and entertainment in their own dedicated space.
The expansion also highlights Holywings Group’s growing commitment to the premium dining sector. While the group is widely recognised for its entertainment and nightlife businesses, Phoenix has emerged as one of its strongest culinary success stories, proving that a restaurant can build its reputation through exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and a memorable guest experience.

The new Kuala Lumpur venue brings the same signature experience that made Phoenix a success in Jakarta. Located in Mont Kiara, one of the city’s most upscale and expatriate-friendly neighbourhoods, the venue combines classic luxury interiors with a menu carefully adapted for the Malaysian market while remaining true to the original concept.
The culinary programme is led by Chef Adhitia Julisiandi and Chef Leonard Njoto C, featuring standout dishes such as Grilled Short Ribs Sambal Ijo, Picanha, and Phoenix’s popular Lapcheong Fried Rice, which has been adapted with beef lapcheong to better suit local preferences. Behind the bar, guests can also enjoy a selection of house-developed cocktails created through extensive research and development.

For business gatherings, private celebrations, and exclusive events, Phoenix Kuala Lumpur also offers dedicated VIP rooms designed to provide a more intimate and elevated experience, with spaces large enough to accommodate 14 or more guests comfortably.
More than an international expansion, Phoenix’s debut in Kuala Lumpur is a celebration of how far the brand has come. Built on the loyalty of Jakarta’s diners and Holywings Group’s vision of creating a world-class dining destination, what started as a local favourite has grown into one of Indonesia’s most beloved gastrobar experiences. Now, Phoenix is ready to share that same experience with a new audience in Malaysia.
