The sole franchise rights holder for the KFC brand, PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk., will soon open the first Taco Bell outlet in Indonesia.
Previously, in a disclosure of information on the IDX page, the company that owns the fast-food outlet, with the issuer code FAST, shared that the next expansion plan is to establish the first Taco Bell outlet in the country.
“For the plan to open more outlets, we are waiting for the growth potential of Taco Bell because Taco Bell is a new brand circulating in Indonesian society,” writes an information disclosure submitted to the IDX on Tuesday 15th December 2020.
If the opportunity arises, Taco Bell will open other outlets in Jakarta, Bali, Makassar, Surabaya and other big cities across the country.
Regional Marketing of PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk. Ika Diah Rhanny further explained that the first Taco Bell outlet will be in Jalan Senopati, South Jakarta. The new fast-food restaurant is expected to shake up the fast-food industry in the country amid the pandemic that’s hitting many business sectors.
Taco Bell’s target market is from all walks of life, especially Gen Z and millennials who like to try new culinary experiences, including quality raw materials. The use of materials produced by local farmers and some imported ingredients from suppliers conform to Taco Bell’s global standards.
The price range at Taco Bell Indonesia is at Rp15,000-80,000 so that all people can try these menus. The most popular Taco Bell flagship menus in the US such as tacos, crunch wrap, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos are available.
In fact, there is an exclusive menu only in Indonesia, called Bell Rice. In accordance with the characteristics and culinary preferences of Indonesians, Taco Bell Indonesia presents a typical Mexican spiced rice paired with a signature chili sauce Indonesia and other complementary ingredients such as grilled chicken, pico de gallo salsa and nacho chips.
“The variety of foods from various cultures, as well as the enthusiasm to try new things, especially in the culinary field, makes Indonesia a prospective market for Taco Bell,” said Managing Director of Taco Bell Asia Pacific, Ankush Tuli.
Currently, Taco Bell is still not available in online partners such as Gojek and GrabFood. However, this will soon be accessible to make it easier for consumers to buy and eat Taco Bell products without leaving their homes. Take away purchases can be carried out at its own counter, located outside the outlet to differentiate dine-in queue.
Since its establishment in 1962 in Southern California, United States, Taco Bell has offered a unique menu at affordable prices without compromising on the quality of its products.
Currently, based on the Taco Bell page, the fast-food restaurant operates in many countries, such as Thailand, the Philippines, Brazil, Japan, Korea, India, the Netherlands, the United States, the UK, and several other countries.
