Henshin returns with its Behind The Bar Series, featuring a bar takeover by Kim Dongje of The Backdrop, Singapore’s newest cocktail bar, renowned for its ‘percolated cocktails’. The takeover will take place on Friday, the 25th of October 2025, at Henshin’s rooftop bar on the 67th floor of The Westin Jakarta.
Kim will present four of his signature cocktails, including the ‘Greek Salad’, made with gin, oregano, feta cheese and Perrier Original; the ‘Yellow Curry Paloma’, consisting of tequila, Thai curry, Aperol and Perrier Grapefruit; the ‘Green Fairy’, with vodka, dill, elderflower and Perrier Peach; and the ‘Negroni Supreme’, featuring gin, Campari, sweet vermouth and orange bitters. Each cocktail is priced at IDR 200,000++ per glass.
The Backdrop is a speakeasy bar in Singapore that introduces revolutionary bartending techniques, transcending centuries-old traditions and redefining the art of cocktail creation through its ‘Percolated Cocktails’. This approach moves away from conventional tools and mixology methods.
