InterContinental Bali Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Narendran Maniam, known as Hendra, as its new Director of Food & Beverage.
With more than two decades of international hospitality experience, Hendra brings extensive expertise in culinary operations, commercial strategy, guest experience and team leadership across luxury hotels and resorts in Asia, the Caribbean and the Maldives. In his new role, Hendra will oversee the resort’s restaurants, bars, lounges, in-room dining and banquet operations, leading the continued evolution of its culinary offerings while enhancing guest experiences inspired by the essence of Jimbaran.
Prior to joining InterContinental Bali Resort, Hendra served as Director of Food & Beverage at Pan Pacific Hotel Group Malaysia, where he revitalised the all-day dining experience with an interactive market-style concept and fostered sustainable partnerships with local farmers and artisanal producers. Throughout his career, he has also held senior leadership positions with Sandals Grande Resort in Saint Lucia, Cezars Kitchen International in Japan, Imperial Resort & Lux Residence in Vietnam, Royalton Montego Bay in Jamaica, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives, Hilton Petaling Jaya and several leading hospitality brands across Malaysia.
His career highlights include overseeing food and beverage operations supporting the Tokyo Olympic Games, launching Michelin Guide-calibre dining concepts, championing sustainability initiatives, and driving operational excellence through innovation, technology and talent development.

Outside of work, Hendra is a devoted father of two daughters who enjoys staying active through futsal and diving. He also appreciates recreational and community activities, reflecting his passion for building meaningful connections, embracing local culture and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
