Karma Kandara has added a new chapter to its dining offering with the opening of Tandoori Bar & Grill – a relaxed, all-day venue rooted in genuine Indian cooking that seamlessly transitions from casual daytime bites to a full evening dining experience.

Open daily at Karma Kandara in Ungasan, Bali, Tandoori Bar & Grill offers guests the unique opportunity to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in the island’s only beachfront Indian restaurant.

The day begins with an Indian breakfast before dividing into two distinct dining experiences. From 11am to 5pm, the focus is on informal daytime dining, featuring a dedicated light bites menu inspired by India’s much-loved street food. Dishes such as Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, Paneer Chilli and Chicken Tikka Kathi Rolls deliver bold, authentic flavours in a relaxed setting.

From 5pm onwards, the restaurant transforms into a destination for dinner as the clay tandoor ovens take centre stage. The evening menu showcases tandoor-grilled specialities, rich curries and sharing plates designed for leisurely dining. Signature dishes include Mushroom Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kebab and Chicken Tikka Kandhari served with a mild pomegranate yoghurt sauce.

Bali's Only Beachfront Indian RestaurantMain courses span both vegetarian and meat favourites without compromise. Plant-based highlights include the smoky Baingan Bharta and classic Palak Paneer, while meat lovers can enjoy Butter Chicken in a creamy tomato-cashew sauce or the slow-cooked richness of Laal Mas mutton curry. Across both services, the menu is complemented by timeless Indian staples including Chaat, Biryani, freshly baked breads, rice dishes, desserts, as well as traditional Raita and fresh salads.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Jeevraj Singh, whose culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen in Rajasthan. Since then, he has cooked in royal palaces, led kitchens around the world and brought his expertise to Karma destinations from India to Germany. His cooking celebrates authentic Indian traditions while reflecting the experiences gathered throughout his international career.

“Our goal with Tandoori Bar & Grill is simply to offer a space where guests can enjoy genuine flavours at their own pace,” says Rai Artawan, General Manager of Karma Kandara. “Whether stopping by for a light bite in the afternoon or gathering with family for a relaxed dinner, we look forward to sharing these dishes with everyone who comes through our doors.”

Guests should note that access to the private members’ club area at Tandoori Bar & Grill requires downloading the Karma Subito App and completing the complimentary Karma Club Guest Membership registration.
