A new floral and botanical afternoon tea is available this September at The Lounge, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah.
This September, the afternoon comes into bloom at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah. The landmark hotel in South Jakarta introduces The Blooming Hour Afternoon Tea, a floral and botanical afternoon tea at The Lounge.
Set beneath the chandelier, with daylight streaming through the high windows, The Lounge provides an elegant setting for an unhurried afternoon. The experience draws its inspiration from the garden – delicate, floral and quietly beautiful.
To begin, guests are welcomed with a striking violet mocktail inspired by the water lily, made with butterfly pea, yuzu and sparkling grape – a refreshing prelude to what follows.
A collection of sweet and savoury treats is then presented together on the signature gold tiered stand. Among the sweets are a raspberry, lychee and rose pastry; a delicate elderflower panna cotta with mixed berries; and freshly baked scones with Chantilly cream and raspberry jam.
The savouries include smoked sablefish with ikura and blue cheese and onion quiche with pear compote, alongside chicken pelalah on warm turmeric focaccia – a subtle nod to Balinese heritage.
A selection of fine teas accompanies the afternoon, each poured warm from hand-picked blue-and-white porcelain.
It is an afternoon designed to be lingered over.
The Blooming Hour Afternoon Tea is available daily at The Lounge from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM. Reservations are recommended.
Reservations may be arranged through the Reservations team at +62 21 3950 7355 or by email at reservation.icjakarta@ihg.com.
