Norii Seminyak Begins Its Next Chapter

Wonderspace’s newest dining destination, bringing Japanese flavours to the flame.

After establishing its roots in Ubud, Norii has opened its doors in Seminyak, marking a new chapter for the Japanese dining concept. Inspired by the richness of the sea, Norii brings together fresh sushi, robatayaki, and contemporary Japanese dishes in a warm, intimate setting.

Natural timber and an open kitchen create an inviting backdrop. At the same time, the theatre of fire adds a lively energy to the dining experience, a fitting expression of Norii’s philosophy to “Flame the Happiness”.

Led by Chef Purna, the menu brings together a selection of Japanese favourites spanning sushi, nigiri, ramen, yakitori, and comforting small plates designed for sharing.

A standout is the Yakitori selection, offering a variety of grilled skewers featuring pork, chicken, ribeye, and fish, making it a fitting addition to Seminyak’s social and lifestyle-driven dining scene. Among the highlights is the Tori Teriyaki, where tender chicken leg meets a rich tare glaze and subtle Japanese seasonings. The Spicy Miso Ramen offers a comforting combination of rich miso and warming Japanese spices, while the Spicy Tempura Maki pairs spicy salmon with delicate tempura textures for a contemporary take on the classic roll. For dessert, Tsuki No Hana brings together silky yoghurt mousse, pear, and a touch of savoury miso caramel.

The beverage selection continues with the Sakura Spritz, combining gin, rosella, sakura, yuzu, and sparkling wine for a bright, floral finish. The Apple Pandan Whisky Highball brings together whisky, pandan, soda, and lemon for a refreshing blend of crisp and aromatic notes. For a more traditional Japanese pairing, the selection also includes sake, shochu, and umeshu, complementing the diverse flavours of the menu.

With its relaxed atmosphere and sharing-focused menu, Norii Seminyak is designed for everything from leisurely lunches and intimate date nights to casual drinks, celebrations, and curated group gatherings.

More than a Japanese restaurant, Norii Seminyak brings together food, drinks, and connection in an intimate yet contemporary setting. Its move from Ubud to Seminyak marks a new chapter for Norii, introducing its signature approach to Japanese dining to one of Bali’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

Whether gathering around the table for yakitori and sushi, enjoying a bowl of comforting ramen, or raising a glass over cocktails, Norii invites guests to Flame the Happiness through good food, good company, and meaningful moments.

At the heart of Seminyak, Norii welcomes up to 34 guests in an intimate setting suited to private dinners, celebrations, and curated gatherings. Japanese flavours take centre stage through a contemporary menu, complemented by relaxed hospitality and an easy-going atmosphere. The result is a dining experience that feels distinctly Japanese, yet comfortably at home in Bali.
