Here are our recommendations for five relatively new restaurants, eateries, cafes, and bars in Jakarta for this month.
Looking for new places to indulge your Epicurean delights? Well, Indonesia Expat got you covered. There have been numerous new restaurants, eateries, cafes, and bars that have recently joined the already diverse and iconic Jakarta culinary scene. Still, the five below are some of the new taverns that we recommend are worth trying. Each of them possesses a distinctive style and is worthy of consideration, whether for a solo foodie experience or a celebratory feast with friends, family, and loved ones.

Jullien
This restaurant, located in Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta, and first opened in October, has its name inspired by French artist Jean Jullien, known for his signature illustrations with bold colours. Building on that spirit, Jullien created a warm and homey interior, creating a relaxed, French atmosphere where mealtimes are a time for enjoying togetherness. One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is escargot: a classic French dish featuring snail meat and served in its signature shell with a generous amount of parsley.
