Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites, in collaboration with Zola Zolu Gallery, presents “Echoes of Harmony”, a duo exhibition showcasing the works of Indonesian artists Sutopo and I Ketut Marra.
“Echoes of Harmony” brings together the distinct artistic voices of Sutopo and I Ketut Marra in a visual dialogue that reflects the enduring relationship between humanity, nature and culture. Although rooted in different geographical landscapes and personal histories, both artists share a profound sensitivity to the underlying rhythms that shape life.
Their paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect and observe the quiet, often overlooked connections that exist between people and their surroundings—revealing harmony not as an abstract ideal, but as a living, breathing presence woven into everyday life.

For I Ketut Marra, harmony emerges through the vibrant spirit of Bali. His paintings capture not only the island’s lush landscapes and ceremonial traditions but also the collective values that sustain Balinese life. Through scenes rich in colour, movement and cultural memory, Marra celebrates a world where nature, community and spirituality coexist in balance, offering glimpses of peace, abundance and belonging.
Sutopo approaches harmony through a more contemplative and poetic lens. Inspired by a lifelong connection with the natural world, he employs birds, mountains, forests and flowing waters as metaphors that speak to freedom, reflection and the interconnectedness of all living things. His works embody an Asian philosophical understanding of balance, where humanity is not separate from nature but intrinsically part of it.
