Anies Inaugurates Cultural Spot in Sudirman

Anies Baswedan

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated a public cultural spot at Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta, on Sunday.

“This is a cultural spot, the third space for expression of Jakarta residents and for them to carry out activities after their home and their office,” the governor said. According to Anies, the cultural spot will allow residents and non-residents of Jakarta to interact with each other, regardless of their socio-economic status.

“This third space conveys a message of equality. People of whatever socio-economic level will feel comfortable here,” Anies stated. The cultural spot lies in a 2000 square metre area, with skateboarding facilities, a mini tropical rainforest, and an area for music and cultural performances. It is located in front of Landmark Tower in Sudirman area.
