Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites Collaborates with Crea Botanica for an Eco Print Workshop

As part of “The Art of Goodness” and its ESG initiatives, Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites collaborated with Crea Botanica to host an eco-print workshop, inviting participants to discover and appreciate the beauty of nature through a creative process.

Crea Botanica is a botanical textile studio that transforms native flowers and plants into wearable textile art, such as blouses, scarves, and bags.

Art can be found in the simple things around us, including the shapes, textures, and details of leaves. Through the ecoprint technique, natural elements like leaves and botanical materials can create unique shapes and patterns on fabric. Each finished piece possesses a distinct character, reflecting the natural form and texture of the plants used. Together with Crea Botanica, participants have the opportunity to experience the process firsthand and see how elements from nature can be transformed into works of personal value.

Beyond merely creating an artwork, this activity invites participants to view nature from a different perspective. Leaves—often seen simply as part of the surrounding environment—can become the central element of a work of art. This simple process demonstrates that creativity need not begin with complexity; it can stem from the things already present in our daily lives.

As a hotel that embraces art and creativity as part of its identity, Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites views this collaboration as a simple way to introduce the value of sustainability through an enjoyable experience closely connected to everyday life. This ethos drives Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites to support various positive initiatives centred on art, creativity, and environmental consciousness.

“Through ‘The Art of Goodness,’ we aim to offer an experience that is not only enjoyable but also meaningful. Our collaboration with Crea Botanica exemplifies how art and environmental awareness can go hand in hand. We hope participants will enjoy the creative process while gaining a deeper appreciation for the natural materials around us and perhaps begin to reduce their consumption of fast fashion,” said Faisal Tranggono, General Manager of Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites.
