Le Goût de France Gastronomy Week 2025 celebrates the art of French cuisine across Indonesia, blending culinary excellence with cultural exchange and professional training.

This year, Le Goût de France – Cita Rasa Prancis returns for its third edition. This nationwide festival not only showcases culinary specialities but also highlights the cultural heritage, expertise, and creativity of French gastronomy.

Organised by the French Embassy and the Institut Français d’Indonésie (IFI), in collaboration with the Alliances Françaises Indonesia network, Business France, and Disciples Escoffier Indonesia, the programme creates an intercultural meeting space where the kitchen becomes a bridge of friendship and recipes serve as a medium for knowledge exchange.

The festival will take place from the 1st to the 13th of October 2025 across more than 140 restaurants in 40 cities throughout Indonesia, featuring a series of educational and inspiring events showcasing each participant’s interpretation of French gastronomy.

The opening and press conference was held on the 1st of October at 3:30 PM, attended by the French Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and ASEAN, His Excellency Fabien Penone, along with several notable culinary figures.

The event will also feature guest of honour Chef Andrée Rosier, the first female chef to receive the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) culinary title at the age of 28, and owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant Les Rosiers.

Chef Andrée expressed her curiosity about Indonesian cuisine, sharing her desire to explore local spices and herbs to bring back to France and incorporate into her creations.

With the theme “Vocational Training and Knowledge Transfer,” the Le Goût de France 2025 event is more than just a culinary celebration. It serves as a platform for sharing expertise, offering the public a deeper understanding of French gastronomic philosophy, culture, and techniques.

The culmination of this series of training programmes will be the launch of the second edition of FITT (French-Indonesian Training of Trainers on French Cooking for Vocational Education and Training) on the 13th of October. Over three weeks, the Escoffier Institute will train 40 Indonesian vocational instructors at the Centre for the Development of Vocational Education Quality Assurance (BBPPMPV) for Business and Tourism.
